Our last couple weeks...

Let's see... there's the usual school, work, mutual, church meetings, etc. But then a couple of Sundays ago, we spoke in sacrament meeting. It was a really good oppurtunity for us even though I really had no clue about my topic! They assigned me journaling and I can truly say I've never journaled before and no matter how hard I fought Logan would not give in to my explanation of "Blogging is modern day journaling." Oh well, our talks went well and now I have a new goal to journal atleast once a week. This past week, Logan went hunting with his dad. They both got drawn for early season trophy bull. For those of you who may not know, that's once in a lifetime oppurtunity and they were so thrilled! Logan left Thursday and didn't come back until Tuesday and we only got to talk for about a minute and a half on Sunday! Thank goodness elk season only comes around once a year! His dad ended up getting a big 6x6 Saturday and he had promised me the heart so I could dissect it (I love the anatomy of the heart!) so Sunday when my brother in-laws were headed back down to the valley, they brought me my heart! :)

We had such a blast! There were 4 nursing students, an EMT student, and a pharmacist and we tore it up! Then on Tuesday morning, Logan got his elk, a 5x6, yay! As soon as we get the pictures I'll post them. I haven't even see them yet! Since we'll be eating elk for the rest of our lives we'll have to have an elk steak party soon! While Logan was gone, I stayed busy with work, clinicals, school, and a little fun in between. I all of the sudden got this urge to sew cause it's been so long so my mom and I made aprons. We found some of my grandmother's old fabric and patterns (some of which was from the 50's and 60's) and we went to town. Think Mrs. Cleaver, lots of gingham and gathers! Way cute! My friend Max came home from his mission last week so we did the whole homecoming thing this weekend. It was a lot of fun to see everyone since I'm the only married one and don't see anyone from Payson anymore!

My sister in-law is a teacher at Washington High School and it's homecoming this week. She is the advisor over a spirit club and they have a banner contest every year between all the clubs. Shelby kind of forgot about it and asked if I could paint the ram on the banner while she was at work. I said sure no problem and then realized what I had signed up for... I think it turned out pretty dang good though!

Oh and one more thing! I know these pictures are from last month but you all just need to see how cute my niece is!

I would feel so selfish if I didn't express my gratitude. Logan and I have been so very blessed in many ways lately. We are so grateful for all of the help that we have received and it couldn't have come at any better time. We are incredibly grateful for our wonderful families and the blessing that they are in our lives. I have such a great testimony of prayer and I know that my Father in heaven is listening and for that I could not be more grateful.

Wonderful Weekend!

Logan and I were able to spend this past weekend in Payson We had such a great time and my wonderful family spoiled us. A lady in my parents ward wanted a cake for a baby shower so I helped my parents make this amazing ladybug! We also went to the rodeo, it was a lot of fun up until it poured rain for 45 minutes, I was frezing! So we left early, went to dinner, and I dumped a giant soda on my lap. It definately didn't help the cold situation! Logan was so embarrassed but as soon as we got in the car, I took my pants off, I just couldn't take it! We got back Sunday morning so that we could back for church cause I have a new calling as the Young Women's secretary. Does that officially make me an adult or what?! I'm really looking forward to it though. I started school Monday, for those of you who don't know, even though we live in Phoenix, I'm still going to school in Payson cause I'm right in the middle of nursing school. So I stayed with my parents Monday night and then went to school Tuesday and then I got to come home to my wonderful husband. I don't know how I'm going to do with being away from him, it's tough, but I have faith that everything will work out for the best. Poor Logan is so good to me and so supportive through everything. I'm very appreciative of him and all he does for our little family. I love you sweetheart!

Logan and I were able to go out with a few friends this weekend. It was alot of fun, especially since we don't get to do it very often. We went to My Big Fat Greek Restaurant (actually Logan and I went to 2 of them cause we didn't get the memo about going to Tempe instead of Chandler) and then played Apples 2 Apples at Michael and Brooke's cute little place. We laughed so much and very hard, it was a great way to finish out the summer before I have to go back to school and work and real life, I guess!

Our trip to California...

Logan and I spent a whole week camped out on the beach in Carlsbad, California. It was so much fun and we both had a great time. I really felt like I grew closer to Logan and his family. We were able to do so much, especially relax! We visited the San Diego Temple one day. It was great to be there again! I haven't been since before it was dedicated in 1993 and I had some wonderful feelings as we walked around. We also spent a few hours each day at the beach boogie boarding (I'm pretty much a professional!), as well as having a little bit of time each night before dinner to watch the dolphins swim. I had an amazing time!
